How AIS Works, and Why It Costs You Nothing
AIS is a technology advisor. We help you compare and buy business technology from 400+ suppliers, then manage the project and support you after it’s installed. You don’t pay us. Suppliers compensate AIS when you choose a solution through us, the same way an independent insurance broker works with insurance carriers.
What is a technology advisor?
Our 4-step process
1. Discover
A free call by phone or video. We learn what you have, what’s not working, what you’re paying and what’s coming up: renewals, moves, new sites, carrier notices or compliance requirements. If you’d like, send a few bills first and we’ll come prepared.
2. Compare
We turn what we heard into requirements and bring you two or three options from suppliers that actually fit, with pricing, contract terms and our honest view of the trade-offs. Going direct to suppliers often means a 2–6 month pre-sales cycle. Through AIS it’s typically about two weeks.
3. Implement
Once you choose, we manage the order, installation, number porting and cutover with the supplier, and coordinate with your IT team or MSP. Going direct, consultation and project management can cost $1,000 or more. Through AIS, it’s $0.
4. Manage
We don’t disappear after go-live. If something breaks or a supplier isn’t responding, you call AIS, and we escalate with C-suite access at the supplier. We also track renewal dates, review bills and revisit your setup as your business changes. That’s what we mean by a lifetime partner.
How we’re paid
-
You pay $0 to AIS. No consulting fees, retainers or project management charges.
-
We stay independent. Because we work with 400+ suppliers, we have no reason to push one brand. If the best answer is to keep what you have and fix a billing error, we’ll tell you.

Frequently asked questions
If it’s free, what’s the catch?
There isn’t one. Suppliers pay advisors like AIS because we bring them qualified customers and handle the sales and project work. You get expert help without the fees.
Will I pay more by going through AIS instead of directly? Are you tied to particular vendors?
No. AIS works with 400+ suppliers and recommends what fits your needs, budget and timeline.
What happens after the service is installed?
We stay on as your advocate. You can call AIS for escalations, changes, renewals and bill questions for the life of the service.
What’s the difference between a technology advisor and an MSP?
An MSP (managed service provider) runs your IT day to day. A technology advisor helps you pick and buy the right services from many providers, which can include an MSP, and manages the project. Many clients use both.
